Introduction

The HTHY-0736 rotary compactor is a device that uses rotary compaction to form cylindrical asphalt mixture specimens for testing various properties of asphalt mixtures. The device employs electric loading, subjecting the specimen to both the vertical downward pressure of the compactor head and the shear force generated by the tilting and rotating mold during compaction. This simulates and reproduces the on-site compaction conditions during paving, ensuring the compaction quality of the tested specimens. The internal aggregate arrangement of the specimen is highly consistent with that of actual pavement, and the test data can effectively guide mix design and construction quality control. It is particularly suitable for the research and verification of new asphalt mixtures such as Superpave and SMA.

Precise and controllable rotary compaction process:

  • Pressure Control: Utilizes a high-precision coaxial pressure sensor (±0.1%FS) to ensure the accuracy and stability of vertical compaction force.
  • Angle Control: The inner rotation angle is continuously adjustable from 0.7° to 1.4° to meet different standard requirements (factory default setting is 16°).
  • Stroke Control: Precisely controls compaction height or the number of compaction revolutions.

Excellent reliability and repeatability:

  • The robust design, precise controls, and high-quality components together ensure the high reliability of the equipment and the repeatability of test results during long-term continuous operation and large-scale sample testing.

Clean and quiet electric drive:

  • Employing a high-performance electric actuator, it requires only a standard single-phase power supply, completely eliminating the need for a bulky and noisy external air compressor, significantly reducing operating noise and improving the laboratory environment.

Intuitive human-computer interaction:

  • 7-inch industrial-grade touchscreen: Provides a clear and responsive user interface.
  • Real-time data visualization: Dynamically displays relevant curves such as “pressure-number of revolutions” and “height-number of revolutions” during the compaction process, facilitating immediate monitoring and process analysis.
  • Data logging and export: Completely records data and supports USB export for subsequent analysis.

Convenient and safe operation:

  • Transparent glass door: facilitates observation of the compaction process while ensuring operational safety; it can slide to facilitate quick loading and unloading of the test mold.
